Educational Sponsorhip

I am, Maria Gezrel S. also known as “Jing” and was born on July 16, 1996, in Pasay City and now currently living in Villamor Air Base, Pasay City, and the eldest of Modesto S. and Gina S.

I have been the breadwinner of the family since I was 18 years old and has 3 brothers and 1 younger sister, 2 of my siblings are still in school. My primary education was at the Villamor Air Base Elementary School and my secondary education at the Pasay City South High, where I graduated high school and gained a lot of friends and knowledge in life. In my 1st year in college at Montessori Professional College, I was studying associate computer science but due to financial hardship I was forced to discontinue my studies and started to work to be able to help our family.

In 2017, I met the founder of Extending Hands who gave me the opportunity to pursue my education and was admitted at the Arellano University under the Bachelor of Arts in Psychology program. Extending Hands made it all possible and was there for me from my return in college until I finally graduated and received my diploma on October 1, 2022.

Now, I can dream big and achieve my goal in life as I would like to be a doctor someday.

I am Nicole C. and my friends call me Nics. I was born on April 22, 2002 in Caloocan City and currently residing at Pangarap Village, Caloocan City. I am the eldest among the four children of Jose Jessie C. and Archie Rossene C. I had my primary education at Pangarap High School where I was awarded with High Honors. And I finished my Senior High School under Accountancy, Business, and Management strand at Our Lady of Fatima University, with special awards also.

In 2020, I entered college at University of Caloocan City and took Bachelor of Science in Accountancy. The same year, pandemic hit globally. It wasn’t easy to sustain my educational needs because of the difficulties brought by the pandemic. It has been a very tough two years for us. Fortunately, in year 2022, I met the founder of Extending Hands which gave me hope that I could continue and finish my education just in time. It is a great blessing indeed, not just for me, but also to my family. Many opportunities had opened up because of the help of the organization’s founder. Now, I am very eager and motivated to be better in my studies and finish this so that I can pursue my Certified Public Accountant license soon. To God be all the Glory!

I am Modesto S. III, nickname “Ino”. I was born on January 7, 2002, in Quezon City and currently living in Villamor Air Base, Pasay City. I have four siblings. My primary education was at Villamor Air Base Elementary School and my Secondary Education was in Pasay City South High School. I completed my Junior & Senior High School under the strand of Accountancy Business and Management and graduated with honors. Before I entered my college life, my family is experiencing financial difficulty and it was not possible for me to continue my education. Through my sister, I was introduced to the founder of Extending Hands who gave me the opportunity to pursue my education and now enrolled at the City University of Pasay under the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program.

I am forever grateful for this opportunity, and I will strive to do my very best until I received my diploma to prove my worth. Now, I am very tenacious and motivated to be better in my studies and finish this so that I can achieve my Registered Nurse License soon.

Hello Friends!

Project Tulugan (Dormitory)

Extending Hands in collaboration with Tabang Malaybalay Foundation is raising funds to build a Dormitory (TULUGAN) for around 277 school children of San Jose Elementary School in San Jose, San Fernando, Bukidnon – Philippines.

These Students Cross Two Rivers Just to Get to School.

Ideally is to build a bridge to cross but it requires an enormous amount. This project is an immediate solution to the challenges that these students tackle every single school day. In the meantime our organizations will continue to work together to achieve the ultimate goal.

Project Tsinelas (Sandals/Slippers). This is the first official charity activity of Extending Hands. Although the Founder has been quietly donating his own time and money in the last five (5) years, the Founder decided that by exposing his charitable work will attract awareness in the hopes that people can assist in his vision and purpose. The project was held last February 26, 2017 in coordination with The Franciscan Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart (FMSC) headed by Sister Carlota. The event was held at the Multipurpose Area of Nuestra Señora de la Annunciata Parish Church, Antipolo, Rizal.

With the help of the sisters of FMSC and volunteers, it was a success as the goal of the project was to provide Tsinelas for over 200 kids in the local community who are in need and appreciate the gift of a new a pair.
And with the gift giving, we were also able to provide a few snacks in the form of lugaw (Porridge).

Please watch for upcoming projects. We need your help!
